A staple among the many oils...
Canna-coconut oil is as simple to make as CannaButter. It's great to be used in capsules and baking or cooking. Here's a quick list of the things you'll need to make your canna-coconut oil.
- Unrefined virgin coconut oil.
- 1-2 tsps of Lecithin.
- 1 oz or more of you favourite decarbed cannabis.
- Double boiler or crock pot.
- Cheese cloth or reusable coffee filter for straining.
- Jars to store your oil.
To make your canna-coconut oil, follow the easy steps below.
- Decarb your cannabis, then grind.
- Melt your coconut oil in your microwave or in your crock pot.
- Add cannabis to your coconut oil.
- Place on warm or low if there isn't a warm setting.
- Mix well, cover and cook for 4-8 hours.
- Stir oil every half hour or so making sure to mix well.
- The longer you cook your oil the stronger it will be.
- Once you're through cooking your oil, strain. If using cheese cloth I find it easiest to tie it around the bowl or use elastics to secure the cheese cloth around the top of the bowl.
- Strain once or twice depending on how much cannabis is left in the oil. Nut Milk Sacks can also be used for straining.
- Once strained, pour into mason jars and refrigerate or freeze.
