The most basic Ingredient for baking...
CannaButter is easily made with just 3 simple Ingredients. Cannabis, Butter and Lecithin.
CannaButter is very easy to make! Just follow these few simple directions and you'll be on your way. First a list of what you'll need...
- Crock pot or double boiler
- Decarbed Cannabis - 1 oz to each 1-2 cups of butter. (Depends on your tolerance levels...)
- Lecithin 1-2 tsp per batch
- A reusable coffee filter or cheese cloth for filtering.
Instructions:
- Prepare your Cannabis as stated in Decarboxylation.
- Melt your butter and add lecithin.
- Grind your cannabis and add to butter.
- Turn your crock pot on warm. If it doesn't have a warm setting, set it as low as it will go.
- If using a double boiler, make sure it's at a very low boil and add butter, lecithin and cannabis to your pot.
- I like to cook my butter for at least 4-6 hours - if not longer up to 8 in a day.
- Once your butter has cooked, allow it to cool a little so you don't burn yourself.
- If using a reusable coffee filter, fill with warm butter and allow to drain. Repeat process until all of your butter is strained. If using Cheese cloth, tie or use elastics to secure your cheese cloth around a bowl or a pot and pour butter slowly through the cheese cloth. Repeat as many times necessary to strain butter.
- Once strained, I like to add about half a cup cold water to my butter - this allows the butter to 'float' so it's easier to cut and remove from the bowl. Cool in refrigerator for 4 hours or until set.
- You now have CannaButter.
